European stocks gain for 3rd straight day

European stock exchanges closed higher Friday, concluding in positive territory for the third consecutive day.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, rose 3 points, or 0.66%, to finish at 457.84.

The UK’s FTSE 100 increased 11 points, or 0.15%, to end the session at 7,631.

Germany’s DAX 30 added 106 points, or 0.69%, to close at 15,628.

France’s CAC 40 was the best performer of the day, soaring 59 points, or 0.81%, to finish at almost 7,322.

Italy’s FTSE MIB increased 92 points, or 0.34%, to 27,113.

Spain’s IBEX 35 rose 25 points, or 0.28%, to end the day at 9,232.
