European stock exchanges close Tuesday lower

European stock exchanges closed lower on Tuesday.

The UK’s FTSE 100 lost seven points, or 0.1%, to end the session at 7,519.

Germany’s DAX also shed 41 points, or 0.26%, to 16,039.

France’s CAC 40 declined 16 points, or 0.23%, to close at 7,369.

Italy’s FTSE MIB, meanwhile, decreased 60 points, or 0.21%, to 28,386.

Spain’s IBEX 35 was the worst performer of the day, trimming 56 points, or 0.58%, to end the day at 9,588.
