US wholesale inventories rise 0.2% in February, in line with estimates

US wholesale inventories rose 0.2% in February, in line with market estimates, according to Commerce Department data released Tuesday.

The figure, which measures the change in the total value of goods held in inventory by wholesalers, stood at $920.3 billion last month.

The January figure was revised to a 0.5% decline, from a decrease of 0.4%.

Wholesale inventories in February are up 12.2% compared to the same month last year.
