European stock exchanges close Wednesday mixed

European stock exchanges closed mixed on Wednesday.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, fell just 0.72 points, to end the session flat at 463.98.

The UK’s FTSE 100 decreased 27 points, or 0.36%, to finish at 7,723. France’s CAC 40, meanwhile, shed six points, or 0.1%, to finish the session at 7,399.

Germany’s DAX 30, on the other hand, rose 53 points, or 0.34%, to 15,951.

Italy’s FTSE MIB declined 2.41 points to close flat at 27,196.

Spain’s IBEX 35 increased 20 points, or 0.22%, to close the day at 9,211.
