Ex-Formula 1 winner Button to race in NASCAR Cup Series

Former Formula 1 winner Jenson Button has announced he will run three NASCAR Cup Series races this season.

The 43-year-old agreed to a three-race contract in the NASCAR Cup Series kicking off at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, on March 26.

He will also compete at the Chicago Street Race on July 2, and at Indianapolis on Aug. 13.

Jenson, who ended his 17-year career at the end of the 2016 season, claimed the 2009 championship with six victories to become Britain’s 10th title winner.
