Türkiye’s BIST 100 up Tuesday open

Türkiye’s benchmark stock index opened Tuesday at 5,003.68 points, rising 0.12%, or 5.88 points, from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index closed Monday at 4,997.80, down 0.68%, with a daily trading volume of 46 billion Turkish liras ($2.4 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was at 19.0991 as of 09:54 a.m. local time (0654GMT), the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 20.6570, while a British pound traded for 23.5416 Turkish liras.

Brent crude oil was selling for around $77.54 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $1,973.55.
