Tunisia’s Defense Ministry said Thursday that a missing military helicopter had crashed at sea.
In a statement, the ministry said two bodies of its 4-member crew and parts of wreckage had been recovered.
“The search operation is still ongoing to find the bodies of the two other crew members,” it added.
The statement did not specify the cause of the crash.
The ministry said earlier that the military helicopter had gone missing late Wednesday during a mission near Bizerte in northern Tunisia, offshore the Mediterranean.
