1st-half goals lead Arsenal to 3-1 victory against Chelsea in London derby

Arsenal defeated Chelsea 3-1 with first-half goals in the 34th week of the English Premier League on Tuesday.

Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard produced twice in the 18th and 31st minutes as Granit Xhaka made two assists in Odegaard’s goals at Emirates Stadium.

After three minutes, Gabriel Jesus made the score 3-0.

In the 65th minute, Noni Madueke netted his first-ever Premier League goal and his first goal for Chelsea, assisted by Mateo Kovacic.

After four matches without a win, Arsenal are atop the table with 78 points in 34 matches.

Chelsea, who suffered a sixth straight loss under interim manager Frank Lampard, are in 12th spot with 39 points.

Manchester City, who have two matches in hand, are second with 76 points.
